Verification Tiers

Two different “verified” signals.

A badge on a professional means a person looked at documents. A label on a review means there is evidence the job — or at least a real conversation — happened. They are not the same fact.

1. Identity and credential badges

A professional can submit documents from Profile → Get verified. A person reviews them. Approved files become badges on the public profile. Documents are private. After a decision they are scheduled for deletion (within 7 days; never kept more than 90 days from upload). The decision and the badge stay.

  • Identity verified — government ID (required for this badge).
  • Trade certificate — optional.
  • Business permit — optional.
  • Address proof — optional.

A badge means those documents were seen. It does not mean the person is skilled, insured, licensed for every task, or a good fit for your job. There is no phone-verified badge in this version of the app.

2. Review verification tiers

Anyone who has messaged a professional on WeDoIt can leave a review. Reviews always publish. The tier on the review is what changes how much it counts toward the headline rating.

Verified

Photo, receipt, or a real chat

  • Verified · photo of completed work — taken with the in-app camera. The photo library is not allowed for proof.
  • Verified · receipt — same camera rule.
  • Verified · chat on this app — a thread with both sides talking, enough messages, over at least a day. That is hard to fake with a throwaway account.

Contacted on this app

There was a WeDoIt thread, but not yet enough proof or chat depth for Verified.

Unverified

The review is still public. It does not carry the Verified weight.

A professional’s star rating on the profile stays hidden until there are enough verified reviews (three by default). That stops a brand-new profile from looking established after one friendly write-up.

The professional may post one public reply to a review. Duplicate proof photos do not earn the photo/receipt path; a genuine chat can still qualify on its own.

What we never show

  • No “top pro” ranks or leaderboards.
  • No badge that claims we guarantee the work.
  • Ads, when they appear, will not sit next to a verification badge.
